I have been away from audio for the 15 years since I got into microcomputers. Could I get some opinions about recording in a small club or bar? This would be a personal recording for personal use. Ask for a permit and do it properly. Suggestions for a mic and small recorder that could be carried in a coat pocket? Ain't gonna be good. A decent 'modest budget" single point stereo mike suspended from the ceiling in a good location and a minidisk recorder may get good, but will require coop and permit. Politely asking may have excellent mileage and band may be interested in a copy. thanks in advance.
