....OK I have my computer's SBLive's digital output hooked to a DAC,
then hooked to my home stereo. The setup works great, very little noise, good fidelidy, fairly good accuracy. However, my only complaint is the computer doesnt seem to be able to drive the DAC to "full output". This sorta bothers me as I have to have the volume on the preamp higher then usual then say if it were switched to my CD player or DVD or satellite etc. The DAC has meters on it and its also shows that max power isnt the "absolute digital" zero at all. Yes I have all the volume controls on the computer all the way to maximize S/N ratio, but is there any sort of digital line driver to compensate? I thought about maybe using an analog line driver. |
