Kenwood KT-900 Stereo Tuner, $109
Image: http://members.aol.com/KDresch/kt-900.html Kenwood KT-900 (1981, $350, photo) - Part of Kenwoods "Audio Purist" series, this little brother of the KT-1000 uses their pulse count detector circuitry also found in the 600T and KT-615/815/917 series. The KT-900 has analog tuning but has a digital LED frequency readout in addition to the analog dial. It has 4 gangs (although we have an Audio Purist brochure that erroneously claims 5 gangs!) and 4 filters and, when modified, is similar in performance to a modified KT-615 or 815. A KT-900 sold for $120 on eBay in 10/02. [EF][JR] (credit: Tuner Information Center http://www.fmtunerinfo.com/) Features: Unique design with thick glass front panel, Touch lock tuning, Wide/Narrow IF selector, Auto/mute button, Center tune LED. LED signal strength. The KT-900 listed for $350 from 1981-88, I can offer for only $109 plus shipping out of SC.
