Default What's the Impedance and Frequency Response of Beer?

This is excerpted from a George Gleason post over on AAPLS:

My amp went crazy last night
after the end of the gig I found the "audience" had stepped on my speaker
lines tearing one out of its NL4 and the bare ends were shorting in the inch
thick layer of beer on the floor

That sounds like "one of those gigs"...

Reminds me of losing a couple woofers due to beer saturated cones c. 1982 (Fear and Circle Jerks, for those who remember the era.)

Beer does a number on compression drivers too, but the good part is
that if you disassemble the horn and driver, rinse it out, dry it and
reassemble it, it'll generally come back to life. The acoustic
impedance of beer is pretty high compared to air though, so it really
reduces the horn's output while it's wet.

hops is a high frequency component; malt sugars and starches produce low
end. the mid-range comes from the drying process of the malt and can be
affected by the variety/ies of hops used.

as for impedance, I imagine barleywines have fairly high impedance
whereas larger commercially-produced lagers tend to be low.

Depends on your capacitance.

If you want " that " thick sound , Mcewans , served room temperature
is a meal 8.5% and as it is in scotland the proximity will lend the
Neveish sound too !
The dark beers are better [ imho ] for the classic vintage sound

Depends on your capacitance.

The combination of both will definitely have an effect on the timing of things

Defintely, when it comes to reluctance to inductance, she might just be
going through a phase. Some offer more potential out of their cups than
in them. (Not meant to offend those of a different polarity.)

What about admittance and reluctance?

It's been a while since I even thought of those guys. Looks like they kept at it for a long time http://www.officialcirclejerks.com/discography.html

And then there were the '80s Derf scenes in Hollywood, some of which I fear I only vaguely recall.

I remember back in the mid 80's, I was playing drums for a thrown together band
doing ACDC covers and other 70's and 80's rock songs. My guitar player had a
Marshall half stack, while we where thrashing away some drunk came up to his
amp and fell into it (luckily he was a little guy) dumping his beer into the
top of a roaring 100 watt tube head. It was like, all of a sudden it was just
me and the bass player and the guitar player proceeding to drop kick this drunk
off the stage. He finished the show with a very small Peavey amp, I didn't talk
to this guitar player for about a week after the gig. He then told me that the
amp was working fine, he let it sit till the next day and then carefully
cleaned each tube and put them back into there sockets in the amp.

It's been a while since I even thought of them too... I think my last CJ
tape gave up the ghost in the early 90's, and I've never even seen any of
their stuff on cd.
