Just bought a Otari MX-70 but came with no cable for the remote. Doh. Any out there?

Thank you,

Probably not.
Easy to make though. 2 x 50 pin Honda - Honda. if memory serves they are
sexed so that you can't mis-connect them. I think it is shown on p. 2-16
of the manual.

CS Electronics at (949) 475-9100 makes custom SCSI cables and has all of
those Honda connectors sitting around as a result. They'd probably be
happy to build you a remote cable if you sent them a pinout.

What's a Honda cable? Something like a clutch cable for a CB750?

SCSI cables used to come on 40-pin Amphenol connectors that people called
"centronics connectors" because they were the same series that Centronics
printers used for parallel interfaces. This drives me up the wall.

Newer SCSI interfaces use Honda connectors, which those people call "mini
SCSI 40" and "mini SCSI 68" connectors. But they are not, any more than the
old-style ones were Centronics connectors. They are Honda connectors.

I've got an external DLT drive and SCSI card in my DAW that are 68 pin
SCSI, but my old SCSI card (in another computer) was 50 pin.

Is the 50 pin version a Honda cable too?

If they are the same width and pitch, the 50 pin one is a Honda too, just
with an 8-bit data path instead of the 16-bit data path.
