I'm using a Tascam Us-122 USB input into my G3 iMac and have been
running a trial version of Deck 3.5 and have Mac OS X 10.3.3 (Panther). I am getting distortions / cracking / popping etc just 30 seconds into my tracking a guitar. I've read the notes on USB interfacing in the user guide and unplugged all of my USB devices except the keyboard & mouse. I've also adjusted the buffer size from 256 to 512 and higher and that doesn't seem to help. Am I missing something? Any ideas? Thanks, Matt |

I suggest you download the trial version of Tracktion and check it out with that. It's crippled by summing in a brief and quiet but easily identifiable noise burst now and then. Cost's only $80 if it works. Bob -- "Things should be described as simply as possible, but no simpler." A. Einstein |

I am, however having a problem recording and monitoring guitar. I can record a guitar track but can't hear it while I'm recording it. I can't record with the US-122 and listen to the other tracks at the same time. Thanks for any info you can provide. -Matt |

I can record a guitar track but can't hear it while I'm recording it. That would be a function of the US-122 directly. It can mix input to output within the box. I don't have mine in front of me but the knobs on the top control that. I can't record with the US-122 and listen to the other tracks at the same time. Thanks for any info you can provide. -Matt Can't think of any reason offhand why that wouldn't work if you've got your Settings-Audio Devices set up and have the US-122 set as output for the track.
