I just had to take the time and post my complete love for M-Audio.
I'm not a very wealthy musician, and I've been suffering for two years trying to get my ideas down with my Lexicon Core2. Last week I caught a superb deal on a Delta 1010LT card and jumped on it. It arrived yesterday and I got no sleep at all last night. Not because of any problems, but because it worked so well that I didn't want to stop recording. Cool Edit 2 never crashed on me once. There was absolutely no pops and crackles. The mixing board I thought was taking a dive on me turned out to be ok. My drums sounded clearer and the cymbals didn't sound nearly as harsh. Last week I was a micrometer away from throwing my J-Station through the window (I updated its bios and the noise didn't go away), today its one of my prized possesions because of its crystal clarity. Cool Edit actually sees my S/PDIF ports now. It'll be a cold day in hell before I buy anything associated with Lexicon. And I'll be a happy endorser of M-Audio/Midiman until I die (or they sell-out). |
