Hi there,

i have a friend who started a small studio in my town, but he doesnt
seem to have that innate drive to want to make records and great
sounds. however, he has a great gift for woodwork and construction,
something i wish i could have. i hate to see him flounder from one
one thing to the next, trying to find his 'niche' in music, wether it
be in a band, or as a recording engineer, in video production, etc.

Are there schools or classes that exist in the field of studio
construction? i have some books that ive lent him [such as the books
by Alton Everest], but im thinking of a more practical hands one
approach with experienced folk. Im in the L.A. area of California.
