Hi,
I bought a new fireface last week(from an authorized dealer) hoping it would replace my tascam dm24 but I've decided to keep the dm24.The fireface sounds much better, does high sample rates, but to run a whole studio with multiple headphones mixers is too much hassle for me and also I would want more inputs than 10 analog at times and don't have more money to put into the setup at the moment.I used the fireface for exactly one session and it's like new and I did not fill out the warranty card.I have the original box, manuals, cables, etc. and kept the bigger box it was shipped to me in.I had questions for Matthias Carsten at RME and he always responded within hours-I'm very impressed with this box and the co. and really wanted it to work but have come to the conclusion I must stick to the present setup. These sell for $1450 new at samash, zounds, musician's friend.See http://www.rme-audio.com/english/index.htm Mike |
