So for Christmas I got a pair of Sony MDR-V700 and MDR-V600 from two
different family members after they heard that I was on the lookout for a good pair of studio headphones. I'm looking for something to reference my monitors against, something with, among other things, a nice flat frequency response. But I think the only good use for these is with my iPod. I didn't mean to plug that as a gift idea; I made sure to pretext everyone that this kind of equipment is very specialized and couldn't be bought at Best Buy (or even GC for that matter). Anyway, now I have these two headphones and I'm wondering what the general group opinion is: I see that the V700 is marketed as the 'professional DJ headphone,' so I'm assuming the bass hype is out of this world. What about the 600's? Is there any hope? |
