Stock strat pickups are 5.5k to 6.5k ohms. Tele lead pups are around 7k, stock Gibson humbuckers are also around 7-8k resistance. A lot of the new custom pickups are overwound to far beyond this, up to 10-14k. They sound like **** IMO but some people like to clobber the amp imputs.
