Ultimatums work great if you have balls (i.e.; don't care which outcome
happens ) and clout, but one aspect that should be mentioned is that this
band didn't need to create a bad rep. They seem to be looking to get more
gigs and canceling the gig due to no s-check isn't going to inspire a lot of
phone calls. Especially since it's not clear whether the club actually has a
setup time and was not inquired about by the band previous to the gig.
