I have a good quality Sony mini-system that I am starting to have problems
with loosing one of the channels. I don't think it is a speaker wire
problem.
It's about eight years old and I am afraid that repairing it could be
expensive.

I do not have much room for a full size receiver and cd player. Any
suggestions on small pieces of equipment. I plan to keep the speakers, they
are pretty good.
I had paid about $500.00 when I bought it.
