Hi folks. Got a new Soundelux ifet 7. It has a very low output on
the V (vocal, U87) setting and less output on the I (instrument, U47) setting. I needs almost full gain with Langevin and Focusrite mic pre-amps singing up close 4 to 5 inches out. This is putting the gain at 5 oclock. With my other mics I'm gaining much, much less to get a similar level. Focurite Red and Langevin both have the needed 48volts phantom. Also noticing the mic is very "soft" sounding to the point of dullness. I use AKG, Audio Tech, CAD, Neumann and didn't expect anything like this with the ifet 7. Is someone here using this model Soundelux. What response are you getting? Thanks, Gary |
