Hi there
After a lot of searching I still haven't made any sense of a digital issue I'm facing. I'm putting togeather a simple DAW system for mixing and the occasional overdub that I plan to base around the Apogee Rosetta 200 a/d d/a once it's available. It seems that a firewire interface may manifest for it, but until then I was planning on using the digital outs to some type of pci card. Since the digital outputs are post conversion will any PCI card with a digital interface like spdif or aes/ebu be fine, or are there other factors to consider to maintain the integrity of the audio? I'm very new to that side of digital audio and haven't quite figured out where conversion stops and non degenerating 1's and 0's flow... Thank you for your time. Tim |
