who is lazy? the person that won't scroll down to read? I imagine MOST
people are using Outlook or some other e-mail client to read the posts.
It looks just like an e-mail. It's a lot more convenient. I personally
use Netscape.

Because it is a pain in the butt sometimes to figure out what the hell
it is that you are responding too and is just plain laziness on the part
of the poster.

"laziness on the part of the poster". Perhaps you missed it?

Unclear what this has to do with anything?

Top-posters also tend to ignore conventions about trimming,
etc. etc. This also contributes to making their posts harder
to read.

It's more of a reaction post than a conversational post.

If it were only that easy. There are some prominent posters here guilty
of this, won't mention any names g

I see a response and then I scroll down and see a half dozen previous
posts. many times is very confusing to figure out what exactly he is
responding too.

I use netscape, but this is irrelevent. The best post is a bottom post
response with the previous post edited so the response makes sense. This
makes life easier for anybody reading the post regardless of what
newsreader he or she is using. But it does take a little more effort on
the part of the poster.

Of course, if people edited the contents of their responses, this

Yes, and how about editing out the email addresses of the people they
followed up to, so we'd get a lot less spam?
