I have a very simple question. I'm using WinXP, and my mic is working
properly. When i speak into the mic, i want to hear immediate playback from my speakers. Can i do that? I thought that's how it should behave by default, but doesn't seem so. Can anybody help. Many thanks. |

Open up the Windows mixer and un-tick the "Mute" box on the microphone fader. d -- Pearce Consulting http://www.pearce.uk.com |

Note that some systems may not allow you to do what you are asking because it is quite likely to cause feedaback (a loud tone caused by the sound from the computer speakers going back into the microphone, and around and around and around.....) |

The Asio-for-all drivers sort that out. d -- Pearce Consulting http://www.pearce.uk.com |

Thanks Richard for the reply. I tried this (that is, i un-ticked the
'line in' - i don't see a microphone fader), but no success. :-( Richard Crowley wrote: "Don Pearce" wrote ... wrote: I have a very simple question. I'm using WinXP, and my mic is working properly.
