Dear readers of rec.audio.tubes,
I have just paid to have my website hosted at a new location because the guys at where it is now cannot give me 24/7 telephone technical support. The new location will be at Melbourne IT, a publicly listed company, and where the company is allowed to register website domain names. I am able to have 200Mb of data on the site for aud $195pa, which is better than the 10Mb for $220 offered by the local cowboys in Canberra where I live. So with all this in mind, I propose to make available some room at my site to hold r.a.t ppl's schematics under their name and briefly described properties at my site, so the info is easily and widely available to ppl who cannot get binaries groups where schematics and other info is sometimes placed. Since easily readable schematics can usually be prepared to occupy less than 100kb each, the 200Mb limit allows for a lot of items. I will let ppl know when I have transfered my site, and when i have learned again how to quickly up/down load material, since it is 4 years since I last did anything with my site. There may even be room for archived discussions, but without any OT subjects or flamers. The facilty would allow ppl to visit the site to see someone's circuit which fits an idea under discussion. It was for this reason that I established the information base at my site, rather than just have a lot of boring sales pitch about a few quirky tube amps of my own making.
