Default AVID Purchases Pinnacle

Too bad they didn't get it with Steinberg too. I'm still not too happy
about the Yamaha thing...

Be glad they didn't. If they had purchased Steinberg, Steinberg would be
toast in a year. I think Avid probably has Wal Mart on it's short list now.

Well it would been the end for Steinberg if Avid would bought it as well.
There is no room for ProTools AND steinberg in their house.

yeah, but like them or not, PT is still the leader. You'll hardly find
a pro studio that doesn't use or own a PT rig. I wouldn't imagine that
they'd keep both products going....if they'd bought them. But, maybe
they'd take code from both and combine them to make PT even better.
Open it up to other plugs and all the other stuff that Cubase does
well.
