Default Newbie DJ ! Crown + JBL MP225 + 255S good?

Hello,

I have been looking here and there in the internet in order to put
together a PA system, which would be powerful enough for indoors, 600
people, yet with very high quality sound!! I am a perfectionist and
quality matters very much to me. Also, I am a newbie to this and I need
some professional help.

[Music used for: Hip-Hop, Rock, Techno, Jazz]

I have finally came up with this (investing no more than $5k.)
I am thinking to get:
- One Crown CE2000 and one CE4000 or tow Crest Pro series equivalent to
the CE's (Please wich one is better?)
- A pair of JBL MP225 500w speakers
- A pair of JBL MPro 255S 500w Subs (Crossover needed? I don't know!!
Using them with the CE4000.)

Do I need a pre-amp? Or a mixer would do? What is the best mixer out
there?

With this configuration I am worried about the highs (HF) cause there
will be 8 woofers but only two horns, will need more HF cabs? As I have
never hear what the MP225 sound like!? Any suggestions?

I am in need of some professional advice to make my decision. Please, I
would appreciate any of your experienced/professional advice, opinions.
Also, tell me if there is any other alternative I can go with to
produce the same or higher quality/power to satisfy myself and an
indoor crowd of about 600 people, while not above $5k budget.

Thanks to all

Ameen

PS: I would really like to know where these brands (Behringer,
Turbosound, JBL, Gemini, Cerwin, Mackie, Peavey, Phonic, EAW, Bose)
stand in terms of PA Speakers/Amps/Subs for a mobile DJ use, on a scale
of 1 to 10? I mean which one is the best and which one is the worst for
DJs? Which ones fit and which ones don't for this kind of
applications?

I cant really speak for the JBL and crown setup, but heres what i use for
about 1200 people.

4 x TurboSound TXD-151 on sticks (double sticks).
4 x EAW LA118z
2 x QSC PLX-2402
2 x QSC PLX-3402
1 x Behringer DEQ24/96

For monitors (my DJ monitor) its usually a Yorkville powered cab. If needed.

Obviously, if you checked it out, these would peak over your $5k budget, but
if you're looking for high quality, you may find yourself coming short at
only $5k.

as for the brands you had mentioned, i'd say a list would look something
like this.

Behringer - 3
TurboSound - 9
JBL - 6
Gemini - (neg)23
Cerwin-Vega - 5
Mackie - 5
Peavey - 5
Phonic - ???
EAW - 9
Bose - 1
