Default Chely Wright scandal!!

The best part is she's gonna have a "hit" record and she's not signed to a
major.....yet.

So I guess if you don't have a label to pay bribes for airplay, then you can
get your friend to impersonate a marine.

Imagine that. As a side note there's an interesting relationship between
artists & their fan club presidents....you got to have them I guess but
fan(fanatic) club prez's are whack jobs.

I'm still waiting for the Terry Clarke & Chely Wright video!

I've driven West End Ave countless times. Knowing what the drivers are like
in Nashville, it's plausible that Chely cut the other driver off, which
prompted the driver's "digital" response, not the bumper sticker.

Though it better press that the driver flipped her off because of the
sticker and not because she changed lanes without signalling while on her
cellphone screaming at her manager why she can't get a hit.

I wonder if the person who flipped her off did it because she had
a US Marines sticker on a gas guzzling vehicle. After all, it only
makes sense: gas guzzlers increase our dependence on foreign oil,
and our dependence on foreign oil is what gives certain countries
in the middle east power. If they didn't have oil (or if they did,
but nobody wanted to buy it), they would just be some bass-ackwards
place nobody has heard of. And they probably wouldn't hate
westerners nearly as much, since there would be very little western
presence in their countries. It just seems ironic to me to say you
support the troops but then contribute (albeit in a small way) to
the situation that puts them at risk to begin with. Maybe my
expectations are unrealistic, but I would expect any decent
songwriter to pick up on irony like that.

I see far more Bush stickers on large gas guzzling suv's than Kerry
stickers. The opposite is true on more fuel efficient cars.

I wonder if country songwriters are capable of thinking that hard.
Down South if you walk into a diner reading a book, they think you're a
pointy-headed terrorist.

Another one: "60 Minutes" did a piece on Gretchen "Proud to be
Trailer Trash" Wilson, complete with non-stop drinking, too-tight
clothes, sausage arms and bad makeup. Double puke. She DOES have a
voice, though. It's just the package it comes in and the way it's
going over with the toads down south that bothers me.

Some may call this a flippant remark, but in my experience, this is
quite true. Down there, illiteracy is a badge of honor,

And some may call it stupid. That's a ridiculous statement.

and
unfortunately, they feel they're running the whole country now. On
the bright side, these people have very short attention spans, and may
forget all about politics by the next election.

Well I guess by the next election, they will have been running the whole
country for about the previous 20 years. But maybe you're right, they may
forget about politics by 2008.

Yeah, Gretchen can sing. Other than RED NECK WOMAN, some of the tunes
on the record are sorta cool. Then again, I grew up in the mid west and
hung out at some trailer parks. Even lived in a couple.

beaten

Make the stuffing:
Marinate the flesh in a mixture of soy and teriyaki sauces
then stir fry in hot oil for till brown - about 1 minute, remove.
Stir-fry the vegetables.
Put the meat back into the wok and adjust the seasoning.
De-glaze with sherry, cooking off the alcohol.
Add broth (optional) cook a few more minutes.
Add the cornstarch, cook a few minutes till thick,
then place the stuffing into a colander and cool;
2 hours
Wrap the rolls:
Place 3 tablespoons of stuffing in the wrap, roll tightly -
corner nearest you first, fold 2 side corners in,
wrap till remaining corner is left.
Brush with egg, seal, and allow to sit on the seal for
a few minutes.
Fry the rolls:
325° if using egg roll wraps, 350° for spring roll wraps.
Deep fry in peanut oil till crispy golden brown, drain on paper towels.

There are many really nice folks in the south... however it is true
that there is a definite "it's cool to be ignorant" vibe.

Absolute self-aggrandizing blather. You've picked up on a vibe that's there
alright. It's a "it's not cool to pretend that your intelligence level is
about 10 times above what it actually is", vibe. You just misinterpreted it.
But hey, thanks for playing anyway.
