I am really interested in picking up one of these focusrite Liquid Channels.
BUt the fact that I see so many on ebay concerns me a bit. The reviews and
testimonies are glowing. What is YOUR experience?

Nobody really has enough experience to know. Until people have time to
complete a number of different projects using lots of them, nobody knows if
it'll turn out to be anything special. My guess is its reputation is likely
to be pretty extreme one way or the other so I wouldn't be in a hurry to be
the first unless I had lots and lots of spare cash.

Really? Liquid Channel? The $3,500 modeling channel strip? On eBay?

Probably dealers "e-bay stores", rather than individuals. I don't know
anyone who's got one yet, either. AM I the only one that thinks their big
marketing gaffe here was to try & package a $3,500 item in their downscale
"platinum series" clothing? Man, they should've just made a whole new
series for it: "The Focusrite Mauve Series" or SOMETHING!

Well, do a search on ebay for "liquid channel." They are definitely out
there. Photos of them in people's racks and all. There were two yesterday,
and two seemingly completely different ones three days prior. I have a
friend who is using one on an album project as we speak. I have, of course,
solicited his opinion already. He likes it.
