Default Pitch shifter plugin (need some help please)

Hello,

Does anyone know of a "good" (and preferably free ) ) plugin which
transposes from one key to the next, that I can use with cool edit 2000 ? I
know of only one, "pacemaker", and it's exactly what I want but
unfortunately it only works with WinAmp. Please advise.

Thank you,

Daniel

PS: It doesn't have to be "free" )

How good is "good"? Cool edit has this function built in. Select
the area to change, Transform-Time/Pitch-Stretch... Go to the
Transpose box and choose which way and how many half notes to
transpose, and under Stretching Mode, you probably want Pitch Shift
(preserves tempo).

Thanks for the info but I found the cool edit "pitch" to be a bit "choppy"
and also lacking in "real time" preview, so I guess I'm looking for
something really good for transposing instruments.

It's time to upgrade to Adobe Audition. The version 1.5 has the pitch
change/time stretch module reworked.
