Default ProTools LE 6.4, Reason, and a Newbie

I'm new to ProTools and am trying to record some tracks using the
NN-19 sampler in Reason (connected with ReWire). When I'm in ProTools
and hit keys on the MIDI controller (before arming the track), I get
the appropriate levels on the track and everything sounds great. As
soon as I arm the track for recording, the levels drop to zero. I can
still hear the notes through the monitor, but nothing will record.

I know I'm missing something basic here. The same seems to happen for
any of the components in Reason.

Thanks for your help.

Rob
