Default Loud noise from sub's when Fan turns on

The stereo in the car works fine, until the cooling fans kick in, and
a large noise/buzz sound comes from the subs. The volume can be a
very low, and still occurs. If I disconnect one of the fans this does
not occur.

Setup:
Stock unit, with pre-outs (2) to Alpine MRD-752 5ch amp. Two Orion
Subs, Alpine DDD fronts and DDD Rears.
4 Gauge from the Battery to the Amp, and 4 Gauge to the chassis
ground.

It seams to be a current surge, but have been unable to determine what
is causing the problem.

Please reply to the thread as this may help others!

Thanks

I get the same problem, hum in sub with engine running and when the
lights are on, causing what i presume to be stress on the alternator.
is there a way to filter the power to get the low end noise out? The
usual "papers" refer to whine, not humm. i disconnect the audio leads
and still get humm.

thanks

Default Loud noise from sub's when Fan turns on

What fan?

The Fan I am referring to is the engine cooling fans!

To expand a little on the above problem..

1. I have run 4GA from the Battery +ve to the amp.
2. I have run 4GA from the Battery -ve to the Chassis
3. I have moved the ground point near the amp to another spot.
4. I have run 4GA from the amp to the new ground spot.

What has occurred...

1. I still get the loud noise, but it is now where near as loud as it
was.
2. I still get a low level hum especially when the lights are turned
on.
3. I tried to even earth the head unit to the same earth on the amp.
Nothing!

Could it be:

1. Bad alternator, and if so, how can i test that it is putting out
the stated amps?
2. Bad battery, if so how can i test?
3. Would Ground Loop Isolators fix the issue?
4. Will placing a line driver isolate the ground, and boost the
signal, therefore fixing the problem?

HELP!!
