Hello,
Upon my research I have learned that some digital keyboards are labeled synthesizers, while others are labeled workstations. Why is that? And has anyone ever purchased anything from http://www.musiciansfriend.com ? Their prices seem reasonable. I'm thinking about purchasing a digital keyboard online, which I'm sure you have learned from my previous post. Thanks for your help. |

Well, they're all synths, but "workstation" models tend to do everything under the sun like recording, sampling, sequencing, etc. I prefer more of a performance synth, and use a computer for the rest. OTOH, the workstation keyboards can be a lot of fun, as long as the arranging/recording/sound design features are nicely laid out. Fantom, Triton, and Motif synths are all really great for exploring ideas and putting them down. |
