A while back I switched on my NAD 412 tuner. I didn't push the button
in all the way so it didn't power up. I turned it on again & all of the sudden, the AM tuner section was on the European AM scale of 9kHz increments. What happened? Is there anyway I can correct this? I opened it up because I thought there was a switch I could flip, but I couldn't find one. Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated. Cameron |

Cameron Hello, From the service manual: "To change AM steps from 9kHz to 10kHz and visa versa, press the MODE and SCAN UP buttons simultaneously for three seconds." Obviously, you should do this with the tuner turned on. You might have to power it down for the change to take effect, I'm not sure. Happy holidays, Tim Schwartz Bristol Electronics |

Were you possibly accidently pressing some other button while powering up? This is sometimes a trick they use, where holding down one of the buttons while powering-up changes something. You could try holding down each different button while powering up to see if that changes it. (Or maybe changes something else, too, so you could look at it as an adventure. :-) Alternatively, the manual appears to be available on eBay. |
