Hi all,
I've had so much trouble with Gigastudio crashing my DAW (we're talking all kinds of blue screens of death with immediate re-starting etc, nasty stuff), I've decided to do away with this Kernal-written catastophe (yes, some may berate me for saying this, but Gigastudio is a *very* unstable program in my experience). Thus I am trying to import some string Gigs I have into HALion 2.0. The problem is however that HALion does not appear to automatically convert the Gig file's realease sample triggerering into the newly converted programs. In other words, HALion seems to be applying its own 'dampening' to the main samples on key-off, rather than playing the actual release samples included in the Gig file when I release keys. Is there a way to properly convert Gig files over the a HALion format such that the realeases are kept in the program? (I'm hoping the answer is not a manual configuration of release samples.. I haven't tried this before, and I'm not sure how to do it!). Thanks, Zoop |
