Not necessarily. There is plenty of standalone MADI hardware, and
whenever some new backplane comes out, odds are they will make a MADI
card for it, at least in the near future.

Well, if stand-alone hardware is a contender in the OP's request, then there
really isn't a problem at all, right? I would have thought that the "PC
Audio" part ruled that possibility out. ;-)
