Default Lynx 2 vs Delta 1010

I understand the microphone/cheeseburger issue, but my main idea was
that upgrading to the Lynx 2 would be a cheaper way to get better
converters than going with outboard gear, like the Lucid AD 9624,
which I have considered. The other advantage, if the converters in the
Lynx2 are comparable to the Lucid, stuff is that I would get 4
channels of A/D and D/A vs 2 channels of A/D only with the Lucid. I
guess the bottom line is how well the Lynx converters stack up to the
Lucid.

Thanks for the response.

I haven't used either one of these cards. I've used the M-Audio 9624
which should be similar to the 1010, and I was surprised at how well it
works. Very usable. It would be hard to justify spending
microphones-and-cheeseburgers money on an upgrade from there. But
according to the measurements at Arny Krueger's website, the Lynx2 is
thoroughly impressive. Arny has a reputation for being a stickler for
measurements, so I tend to trust the data listed on his site.
