Been there, done that. It works fine. It's even better when the LP is
transferred to 24/96 or higher.

It shouldn't be. 16 bits already suffices for the dynamic range of LPs;
22 kHz suffices for their frequency range, unless your hearing, and the
recording, are both *quite* remarkable.
