By any chance do you know which file that may be? Do you know the name
of the file?
You should be able to find the .rc file in your profile folder:
http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_SeaMonkey#Files
*.rc - in the News folder
Contains subscribed newsgroups for the current server.
You'll have to read the whole page to figure out how to
find your profile. Depends on your operating system.
