Good luck trying to anticipate Witless's motivations or responses. My take
is that Scottie, like the Krooborg before him, is only interested in
arguing for its own sake. Saying "I was wrong" or "I'm sorry for yapping
out of ignorance" is conciliatory, which does not fit at all with
argumentativeness.

You might as well hope Witlessmongrel will stop chasing the delivery truck
of "libs" that torments him every day.
