I always remember the 'Ask Doctor Science' ("He knows more than you

" Certainly when the US does finally switch over to the metric
system people will use metric units for things: a gram of corn, a
deciliter of milk.
Decilitres are generally deprecated except mainly in France it seems
where they are still popular. Under the SI system, multiples and
divisions of units by 1000 are preferrred. So it would be 100 ml.
However, the few pathetic survivors trying to eke out a
living the ruins of a once-great civilization will hardly be
concerned with the precise measurment of time, so it won't matter"
Well, the second is and always has been the standard unit of time
from cgs through MKS and SI.

This map is intriguing. The non-metric countries are shown in
yellow.

Hey, at least we're keeping up with the Pakistanis!
Wrong country. Dare I say Americans don't know where they are ? You
mean Burma or Myanmar as we now say.

Unfortunately I took only a brief look at the map and obviously got the
peninsulae mixed up.
I'm really not that ignorant. Honest! :-)
OK, I'll believe you.
