Sony BMG Developing Online Music Service
By MATT MOORE - 12 hours ago
BERLIN (AP) Ð The CEO of Sony BMG Music Entertainment says that the
company is developing an online music subscription service that would
give users unlimited access to its music and be compatible with a host
of digital music players.
I'm sorry, but after what Sony/BMG did in the name of DRM the only
thing appropriate for them is to die a horrible slow death penniless. I
truly do not understand why they did not get more trouble out what they
did. Just another case of the mega-corp screwing a million people and
getting a slap on the nose. I am one of those few who will never
purchase anything Sony or BMG ever again, not even used.
Yes, that was a terrible thing. It's obviously up to each consumer to
decided if they have been punished enough (by revenue loss, etc.).
Their catalogue is very important... Bernstein, Reiner, etc etc.
I don't know that they really lost any revenue, did they? AFAIK the
incident was not very well published
