Default Kenwood DPF 3010 CD player

This is an old kenwood cdp from about 7 years ago. Has
anyone had one who would like to comment on its
performance. I would expect it to be fairly bog standard
as its a cheap mass produced product. However I have
compared it to 2 24bit 192Khz cd players, one of which
retailed at £1500 and has a valve output stage. I cannot
hear any difference in the sound. There is no revelation
when I listen to an expensive one compared to this. I
have listened to it numerous times in demo rooms compared
to other cdps and have heared a difference there. But
not at home. I guess it might be my room or positioning
of speakers. BTW I have a pair of Zingali speakers and a
Unison Unico amp. Not bad kit. I should be able to tell
a difference but I cannot.

True of a great many modern CD players.
