Default Mysterious low-level hum cured.

Finally tracked down the cause of some low level hums and buzzes in the
local venue's rig.

The cables between the mixer outs and the EQs in the rack (plus some
other cables in the amp rack) had been wired with the screen to pin 3
(or pin 2) ! Since it was balanced it had been kinda working but since
fixing it, there is now almost deathly silence with the rig powered up
as it should be.

I think I lnow who was responsible. A former licencee (landlord) of the

pub who was also a bass player and reckoned he knew everything about
sound. Idiot ! He also replaced the tweeter protection lamps with
aluminium foil and then replaced the drivers that burnt out as a result
with damn piezos which expired in short order too of course when driven
from 350 W amps. Maybe this'll be the last of his nonsense I have to
clear up.
