Default Who determines what artists get played on a corporate station's holiday playlist?

Mike Krinik, the other guy in these photos (oops - out sailing with me
on my not yacth) is a little duck. He only runs Capitals western
region.

Mike may be a perfectly nice guy, but before going with Capitol (not
Capital), he was PD of some station in Scranton, PA. That is not even a top
50 radio market. Going from a small, but good and successful country station
to being a record promoter seems to be a step down, though.

And, for reference, he reports to Capitol Nashville and is the West Coast
promo honcho for Capitol's country imprint, not the whole Capitol label.

The other guy you know is similarly mid to lower level in the record biz.

Jimmy is a big duck only if I were you, I would be doing the
ducking from feeling a bit on the dumbass side. BTW, when you said I
don't have a boat, well you are party right. I have two and I am
buying another this month before the end of the year. I need to put
one up in long island sound because I don't want to bother shipping my
Miami boat up there every summer.

They are out for charter? You surely don't make enough to buy a boat from
that pseudo-electronic Christmas drek I just heard and from the crummy
immitations of Caribbean music. Willy Colón or El Gran Combo or El Binomio
de Oro you definitely are not.

If you find that nasty, consider that what you said about the radio industry
and the fine professionals that program the 14 thousand US radio stations is
vastly more obnoxious, nasty and mean-spirited, and can only be partially
excused by the fact you know so little about radio that you could plead
ignorance. Or stupidity.

I feel better already.

Here's a few photos. I just started using my new iweb that came from
leopard so I hope the thing works.

Well, at least you sail instead of running a gas guzzling floating bar. Do
you ever get out of a harbor?
