Australian Federal Election 2007: The greatest disaster since the
election of the disgraced Gough Whitlam government in 1972

"SYDNEY: On Saturday 24th November 2007 a state of temporary insanity
descended upon Australia when voters elected the Fabian Socialists Kevin
Rudd / Julia Gillard Labor team (pictured right).

**You have zero clue about this nation. Let me set the scene for what the
discarded government has done to **** of Australians:

* They have consistently lied to the Australian public about issues as
diverse as the Iraq war and the introduction of new and draconian taxation.
Australians were told the same lies that were told to US citizens about the
war. The Howard government promised not to introduce a Goods and Services
Tax (GST). They introduced a GST, making the Howard government the highest
taxing government in Australian history. The GST had the effect of making TV
sets cheaper and food more expensive. IOW: The GST favoured the wealthy.
* Howard made sseeping promises before he was elected and then promptly
declared those promises null and void.
* Howard allowed his ministers to own shares in companies which pertained to
their portfolio.
* Before the Howard government, Australia had a health system which was the
envy of the entire planet (including the US). Our PBS(Pharamceutical
Benefits System) ensured that Australians had access to the latest
life-saving drugs at the lowest possible cost. MUCH lower than in the US.
Our state funded medical system ensured that ALL Australians had access to
the best health care at the lowest cost. Now we have a mish-mash of a
system, where private health funds (which are partially government funded)
vie for our Dollars. We have seen steady rises in our health fund
contributions. Had the Howard government remained, our health system would
have resembled the disaster that exists in the US.
* Howard refused to sign the Kyoto Protocol and refused to accept the fact
of anthropogenic global warming. Which makes him something of a fool.
* Rather than examining ALL the possible energy generation systems for
Australia, Howard had unilaterally decided the nuclear power was the only
viable system. This, despite the fact that there is less than 100 years'
worth of economically viable uranium deposits available. For base load
power, Australia, with it's exceptionally stable geology (no volcanoes and
hardly any earthquakes of consequence) we have thousands of years' worth of
geo-thermal energy available to us. There is virtually no downside to
geothermal energy. Bugger all pollution and a proven technology. Yet Howard
never allowed examination of this source.
* There is more. Much more.

On Sunday morning millions of Australian will wake up and begin to ask
themselves "what have we done?" As their present world gradually
collapses around them, they will probably find themselves repeating
that question for the next three years.

So "What have we done?"

Well here are a few of the answers. The nation has thrown away its
birthright and any hope of strong and experienced future economic
management by swallowing the sweet and tempting, but hollow words and
promises of the slickest and yet most unqualified political team ever
to lay their hands on the levers of power in our great nation.

**Bull****. I would argue that part of the outgoing team, who selected the
most inferior jet fighter for our national defence is unqualified. Our
defence minister chose a plane that was rejected by the US armed forces. It
is vastly inferior to the planes which will be used by our nearest military
power (Indonesia). They have chosen the very excellent Russian built MIGs
for their defence system. Far superior to the American **** we've committed
to.

Under the guise of the quite meaningless cry "it's time for a change"
Australians have thrown away the benefits of eleven years of
prosperity and elected a new Prime Minister who's only claims to fame
are that he was a one time diplomat and speaks fluent mandarin
chinese.

**Our prosperity is localised. In Western Australia, the mining industry is
booming, thanks to massive demand from China (kinda convenient, given our
new PM speaks Mandarin). The rest of the nation is hurting.

Even worse, they elected a total turkey, Julia Gillard, a
motor mouth red, as deputy prime minister.

**LOL! Gillard is exceptionally bright, talented and easily outsmarts her
opposition. And they don't like it one bit.

This women clearly has the
brains of a geranium and yet will guide the destiny of every
Australian workplace - right back to the days of destructive and
counter productive unionism. If, heaven forbid, Kevin Rudd falls ill
due to his heart condition, this vain and empty headed creature will
be prime minister.

**LOL! Clearly, this idiot has no clue. Gillard is smart, savvy and a valued
addition to the team.

Voters have invited into our daily lives a plague of former union
officials and a pestilence of left wing cronies, political correctness
and a toxic mix of multi-culturalism that will lay the foundations for
the destruction of the very values that made this nation great. The
floodgates to foreign immigration will now lay wide open.

*What evidence does this idiot provide for such a nonsensical statement?

I thought so.

Our children
and grandchildren will curse both this day and the short sighted
stupidity of the so called "swinging voters" who by their political
ignorance or just plain muddled headed thinking allowed this calamity
to occur.

At a time when the United States financial and banking sectors are
crumbling, expected growth in the world's biggest economy has been
revised downward, inflation is again gathering steam and the US dollar
is tattered and fading, Aussie voters invited a team of inexperienced
and incompetent children, pop stars, nobodies and unionists to govern
our affairs, protect our economy, keep mortgage rates down and
guarantee job growth. Fat chance! If the American economy falters the
knock on effect for Australia will be devastating. If the USA reduces
it's purchases of Chinese goods our economic mining boom evaporates
and the Australian economy will be savaged.

**Indeed, it will. And there is NOTHING anyone can do about it. Including
the outgoing government.

I suggest you widen your sphere of reading.
