That's not the point. The main point is that no one has ever been able to
demonstrate under bias controlled conditions that nominally competent
amplifiers (matched in level and +/- 0.1 dB response measured at the speaker
terminals and not being driven into heavy overload) have any sound if thier
own. I've personally conducted a number of controlled tests and I've never
found a single subject (or married one either) that has been able to reliably
identify nominally competent amplifiers in even their reference systems.
