And as humanely as possible. I will not shoot a cat with rimfire or
pellet guns: if I can't shoot a .223 or a 7.62x39 I simply don't.

That said, I've probably sent five or six thousand to Kitty Valhalla.
Less then a half dozen did not die instantly and without suffering. In
each case I carefully studied the problem to prevent future suffering.
My conclusions: go for a head shot, get in range, and use enough gun.
The 7.62x39 is more than enough but the cartridges are cheap, albeit
Berdan primed. 7.62x54R is also cheap sometimes but the recoil is too
much to enjoy a good slay.

cat killer. It doesn't take a lot of imagination to picture Bret
Ludwig holding up the cannister of Xyklon B over the funnel into the
"showers" full of human beings, being totally deaf to their cries,
wondering instead whether he shouldn't have spent the buck on a new
filter for his facemask.

You should be quiet now, Ludwig; those of us who always knew you were
a sick **** have all the evidence we need; more would just be
nauseating.
