How about if the DBT panel was made up of *average audiophiles* like those
used in the comparisons between audio components to prove there are no
differences - where the results are always null?

It's not true that results are geared to prove no differences and are "always"
null. Results become null when there are no acoustical differences to hear.

Indeed I've conducted experiments that were designed to maximize the
hypothesized 'differences' (SunShine/ Simpky Strereo Trials; "To Tweak ...or
Not?) and yet subjects were unable to validate an ability to hear 'pretty
amazing' differences when nothing more than the input terminals on speakers and
amplifiers were covered with an opague cloth.
