Yeah, I hear lots of room at the end of the guitar track, but also lots of
low end, maybe suggesting proximity effect. That says figure-8 to me, and
the slightly dark tone of the mic has me thinking ribbon.

Hmm... all things considered, I'm going to run with an inexpensive
ribbon mic, maybe one of those Cascade Fat Heads, and an RNP...
