There's no way to tell from your limited description. Some Infinity
subwoofers were servo types and had their own built-in power amplifiers (and,
in fact, the woofer itself was included in the amps feedback loop, thus the
term servo-woofer) while others were passive and required an outboard
amplifier. If your woofer is of the former type, then it could be anything
from a blown mains fuse to a faulty amplifier to a burned-out voice-coil on
the woofer itself. If the sub is passive, then it could be, again, anything
from a protective fuse to a burnt-out voice coil to a defective cross-over
network.
