In my experience, AAC tends to be better than mp3 - I'd
expect 256 kbs to be pretty good, though I wouldn't be
surprised if differences could be detected in some
cases. Still, it's much better than 128. --

With mp3, even at 320K, I can hear the difference even on
speech.
