On the other hand, those that casually drop in on ngs DON'T get to see
this tripe if the headings are altered.

Thank you for clarifying, however and sadly, those newsreaders that I
have used and use now will show the old, new and whatever headers,
associating the answer to the original post. So, if the OP is blocked,
but the answering individual is not, the tripe comes right up as part
of the thread.

Basically we have a problem either way. Some may see it one way, some
the other way. For myself when I look at a newsgroup I don't like to
see these garbage post headers, so changing them oblitorates them.
Others do the same with xxx etc substituted for the subject lines. I
can see your problem. Andy
