Looking For "Mini" Receiver
In article . com,
says...
1. As small as possible
2. At least three speaker connections, with a switch that allows "A"
speakers, "B" speakers, or "both"
3. Input for an iPod dock (split cable that plugs into red and white
connectors--not sure what they are called)
4. A radio would be a big plus, presets would also be nice
5. Less than $100 would be nice, but I would pay more if there were no
other options.
The sound quality does not have to be outstanding.
Thanks for any suggestions!
Your best bet might be a used receiver - I purchased an older Rotel RX-
845 for around your price point to use as a "portable" receiver. It's
pretty small, though not really a "mini" unit, but the sound quality is
very good.
It doesn't have an iPod dock, but I don't think you'll get anything with
one at that price point. You can run a cable from the iPod headphone
jack to any of the analog inputs though. The radio tuner in it is pretty
decent and it's got a number of presets.
Otherwise, if you can up your budget, Denon makes one or two small units
that could fit the bill.
