Default Once More - Preamp/Line Stage?

"Peter" reply to newsgroup only wrote in message
. ..
A couple of days ago I posed the question below to two newsgroups.

However to date the only replies I have received so far is that I should
not "cross-post" to two newsgroups, and what actual price range I was
seeking.

I truly do not know why I should not be able to address a question to two,
or perhaps even more, newsgroups in order to reach a larger number of
people who might be able to provide me with suggestions?

As far as the price range is concerned, I would like to stay within a top
range of $3,000.

Thanks again in advance to anyone who might have some recommendations for
me.

Does anyone perhaps know of a "current" stereo preamp/linestage, solid
state
or partially tubed, that incorporates the following parameters, but is not
in the stratosphere price class:-

Balanced (XLR) and Unbalanced (RCA) Inputs

Balanced (XLR) and Unbalanced (RCA) Inputs

Remote Volume Control

Remote BALANCE Control (very important!)

If tubed, no more than two tubes

Built-in phono stage would be preferred but is not mandatory

Not a design where where an additional purchase of a $1,000, or more,
separate power supply is recommended to make it really sound "good"

Thank you in advance for your consideration and suggestions

**Why do you want balanced in and out? Are you running 100Metre cables?
Balanced in and out provides no advantages, unless you have problems with
noise.
