Have you looked to make sure the power cord is in good shape and plugged
into a good outlet ? Move it to another outlet and plug it in, try it.
Maybe your plug strip sic is messed up. If that doesn't work .. smack it
good!! 
Or better yet, ask for advice from somebody who isn't a blithering idiot.
