There is indeed an electric solid-bodied theorbo. I saw one being used
by a skiffle band at the Washington Folk Festival. They also had saws,
washboards, a guitarron and a bassoon too. They weren't.... normal...

But was it in fact an electric lute, modified into an electric theorbo
a century or so after its original construction? There are an awful
lot of those about.
